Al-Takaathur
Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)
8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
The excessive gathering (of increase and boasting) occupied you (from worshipping and obeying) 1 Till you reach the grave. 2 But nay, ye soon shall know (the reality). 3 And once again: Nay, in time you will come to understand! 4 And yet if you knew with positive knowledge 5 you shall surely see Hell; 6 Again, indeed you will see it with certainty. 7 and on that Day you will most surely be called to account for [what you did with] the boon of life! 8
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
