Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful

Greed for more and more distracted you [from God] 1 even till you visit the tombs. 2 Nay! You shall come to know! 3 Again, no indeed, you shall soon know. 4 Nay! if you had known with a certain knowledge, 5 You will be shown hell 6 Again, you shall surely see it with the eye of certainty 7 On that Day, you shall be questioned about the pleasures. 8

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
