Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)
8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
The excessive gathering (of increase and boasting) occupied you (from worshipping and obeying) 1 Until you come to the graves. 2 Yes certainly, you will soon realise! 3 You shall cetainly know (about the consequences of your deeds). 4 And yet if you knew with positive knowledge 5 you shall surely see Hell; 6 Again, you shall surely see it with the eye of certainty 7 Then, on that day, ye will be asked concerning pleasure. 8
