Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

YOU ARE OBSESSED by greed for more and more 1 Until you visit the graves (i.e. till you die). 2 Nay, in time you will come to understand! 3 Again, yes certainly, you will soon realise! 4 Nay, would that ye knew (now) with a sure knowledge! 5 You have indeed to behold Hell; 6 Then you will surely see it with the eye of certainty. 7 then you shall be questioned that day concerning true bliss. 8

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
