Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

The craving for excess wealth kept you people neglectful. 1 until you go down to your graves. 2 But you will soon come to know. 3 You shall cetainly know (about the consequences of your deeds). 4 Indeed, did you know with certain knowledge 5 you would see the fire of Hell. 6 Again, ye shall see it with certainty of sight! 7 Then, on that day, ye will be asked concerning pleasure. 8

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
