Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace

Competition in [worldly] increase diverts you 1 until you come to the graves. 2 But you will come to know soon; -- 3 Again, Nay! You shall come to know! 4 Nay, would that ye knew (now) with a sure knowledge! 5 you would indeed, most surely, behold the blazing fire [of hell]! 6 In the end you will indeed, most surely, behold it with the eye of certainty: 7 and on that Day you will most surely be called to account for [what you did with] the boon of life! 8

God the Almighty always says the truth.
