The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Ruin is for every open slanderer, backbiter. 1 who amasses wealth and counts it, 2 thinking that his wealth will make him live forever! 3 By no means! He shall surely be cast into the Crushing Fire. 4 Would that you understood what that crushing torment is like. 5 The fire of Allah, that is ablaze. 6 Which mounts directed at the hearts. 7 Verily, it shall be closed in on them, 8 in towering columns. 9

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
