The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Woe to every fault-finding back-biter, 1 Who amasseth wealth; and counteth it. 2 thinking that his wealth will make him live forever. 3 Nay, but verily he will be flung to the Consuming One. 4 And what will make you know what the crushing Fire is? 5 It is a fierce fire created by God 6 Which penetrates the hearts 7 verily, it will close in upon them 8 In extended columns. 9

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
