The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful

Woe to every slanderer, defamer, 1 who amasses wealth and counts it over and again. 2 He bethinketh that his wealth shall abide for him. 3 On the contrary! He shall be flung to the Crusher. 4 And what can make you know what is the Crusher? 5 It is a Fire kindled by God. 6 to penetrate into the hearts. 7 Lo! it is closed in on them 8 in extended columns. 9

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
