The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Woe unto every slanderer, traducer, 1 who amasses wealth, counting it over, 2 Thinking that his wealth would make him last for ever! 3 By no means! He will be sure to be thrown into That which Breaks to Pieces, 4 And what can make you know what is the Crusher? 5 It is the fire kindled by God 6 Which penetrates the hearts 7 Surely it shall be closed over upon them, 8 in towering columns. 9
