The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)
9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
Woe to every fault-finding back-biter, 1 Who amasses wealth and considers it a provision (against mishap); 2 He thinketh that his wealth will render him immortal. 3 Nay, but [in the life to come such as] he shall indeed be abandoned to crushing torment! 4 And what do you know what the Crusher is? 5 Fire of Allah, Kindled, 6 The which doth mount (Right) to the Hearts: 7 Verily, it shall be closed in on them, 8 in extended columns. 9
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
