The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)
9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Woe to every fault-finding backbiter; 1 Who accumulated wealth and hoarded it, counting. 2 thinking that his wealth will make him live forever! 3 By no means. He will be thrown into Hutama. 4 And what will explain to thee That which Breaks to Pieces? 5 Fire of Allah, Kindled, 6 Reaching right into the hearts of men, 7 Verily it will close in upon them, 8 In extended columns. 9
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
