The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Woe to every scorner and mocker 1 who amasses wealth and counts it, 2 Does he think that his wealth will prolong his stay on earth forever? 3 No indeed; he shall be thrust into the Crusher; 4 Would that you knew what hutamah is! 5 It is the fire of Allah, [eternally] fueled, 6 Which mounteth up to the hearts. 7 It will engulf them. 8 in its long columns of flames. 9

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
