The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Woe unto every slanderer, traducer, 1 Who amasses wealth and considers it a provision (against mishap); 2 thinking that his property will make him live forever. 3 Nay, but [in the life to come such as] he shall indeed be abandoned to crushing torment! 4 And what will make you know what the crushing Fire is? 5 It is the fire kindled by Allah, 6 to penetrate into the hearts. 7 closed around them 8 in its long columns of flames. 9

God the Almighty always says the truth.
