The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Woe to every slanderer and backbiter. 1 Who accumulated wealth and hoarded it, counting. 2 Does he think that his wealth will prolong his stay on earth forever? 3 By no means! He shall surely be cast into the Crushing Fire. 4 And what do you know what the Crusher is? 5 A fire kindled by God, 6 the Fire that shall rise to the hearts (of criminals). 7 Indeed it will be shut over them. 8 in towering columns. 9

True are the words of God the Almighty.
