The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)
9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
Ruin is for every open slanderer, backbiter. 1 Who pileth up wealth and layeth it by, 2 He thinks that his wealth will make him last forever! 3 No! He will surely be thrown into the Crusher. 4 And what will make you realize what the crushing disaster is? 5 (It is) the Fire of (the Wrath of) Allah kindled (to a blaze), 6 roaring over the hearts 7 Lo! it is closed in on them 8 In pillars stretched forth (i.e. they will be punished in the Fire with pillars, etc.). 9
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
