Al-Hummazah

The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

Woe to every fault-finding back-biter, 1 Who has gathered wealth and counted it, 2 He thinketh that his wealth will render him immortal. 3 Nay! he shall most certainly be hurled into the crushing disaster, 4 And what do you know what the Crusher is? 5 The Fire of God kindled 6 Which mounts directed at the hearts. 7 Verily it shall close upon them, 8 In pillars stretched forth (i.e. they will be punished in the Fire with pillars, etc.). 9

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
