The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

Woe to every slanderer and backbiter. 1 Who hath gathered wealth (of this world) and arranged it. 2 thinking that his wealth will make him live forever. 3 Nay! Verily, he will be thrown into the crushing Fire. 4 And what shall make thee know that which the Crushing Fire is? 5 It is the fire kindled by God 6 Which will climb on to the hearts. 7 Lo! it is closed in on them 8 in columns outstretched. 9
