The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

Woe unto every slanderer, traducer, 1 who amasses wealth, counting it over, 2 thinking his wealth will render him immortal! 3 Nay, he shall be thrown into the Crusher. 4 And what could make thee conceive what that crushing torment will be? 5 The fire of Allah, kindled, 6 the Fire that shall rise to the hearts (of criminals). 7 Lo! it is closed in on them 8 in columns outstretched. 9
