Al-Hummazah

The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

Woe to every scorner and mocker 1 Who has gathered wealth and counted it, 2 He thinks that his wealth will make him immortal. 3 Nay, but verily he will be flung to the Consuming One. 4 Ah, what will convey unto thee what the Consuming One is! 5 It is a fierce fire created by God 6 Which will climb on to the hearts. 7 Indeed, Hellfire will be closed down upon them 8 In pillars stretched forth (i.e. they will be punished in the Fire with pillars, etc.). 9

Almighty Allah's Truth.
