Al-Hummazah

The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful

Woe to every backbiter, slanderer 1 Who amasses wealth and hordes it. 2 He thinks that his wealth will make him immortal. 3 By no means! They will be thrown into hutamah. 4 What shall let you know what the Crusher is? 5 (It is) the fire of Allah, kindled, 6 Which leapeth up over the hearts (of men). 7 it closes in on them from every side 8 in extended columns. 9

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
