The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

Woe to every scorner and mocker 1 who collects and hordes wealth, 2 Does he think his wealth will abide for ever with him? 3 By no means! He shall surely be cast into the crushing torment. 4 Ah, what will convey unto thee what the Consuming One is! 5 It is the Fire kindled by Allah, 6 which will rise over the [guilty] hearts: 7 Surely it shall be closed over upon them, 8 In pillars stretched forth (i.e. they will be punished in the Fire with pillars, etc.). 9

Almighty Allah's Truth.
