The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
WOE TO EVERY slanderer, back-biter, 1 Who amasses wealth and considers it a provision (against mishap); 2 thinking that his property will make him live forever. 3 No! He will surely be thrown into the Crusher. 4 And what will explain to thee That which Breaks to Pieces? 5 It is the fire of Allah, [eternally] fueled, 6 which shall oversee the hearts, 7 Verily it will close in upon them, 8 in its long columns of flames. 9
