The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

Woe to every scorner and mocker 1 Who amasses wealth and considers it a provision (against mishap); 2 Thinking that his wealth would make him last for ever! 3 By no means! He shall surely be cast into the crushing torment. 4 And what will explain to thee That which Breaks to Pieces? 5 It is the fire kindled by God 6 Which rises above the hearts. 7 Verily it will close in upon them, 8 in columns outstretched. 9

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
