The Elephant (Al-Feel)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Disbelievers (Al-Kaaferoon) before Daybreak (Al-Falaq)

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

Have you not seen how Allah dealt with the companions of the Elephant? 1 Did He not bring their plan to naught? 2 And send down (to prey) upon them birds in flocks, 3 Striking them with stones of hard clay, 4 And made them like an empty field of stalks (of which the corn has been eaten up by cattle). 5

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.

There are memorization exercises for the original Arabic and English transliterated Arabic modes only. The English translation mode has no memorization exercises.

Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
