Al-Imraan 14 of 20
Believers, do not accept illegal interest in order to increase your wealth many times over. Have fear of God so that you will have everlasting happiness. 130 And save yourselves from the fire which is prepared for disbelievers. 131 And obey Allah and the Messenger; that ye may obtain mercy. 132 ۞ And vie with one another for your Lord's forgiveness and for a Paradise as vast as the heavens and the earth, which has been prepared for the God-fearing, 133 Who spend [in the cause of Allah] during ease and hardship and who restrain anger and who pardon the people - and Allah loves the doers of good; 134 These are the ones who, when they commit any indecency and wrong against themselves, instantly remember Allah and implore forgiveness for their sins - for who will forgive sins save Allah? - and who do not wilfully persist in the wrong they did. 135 For such the reward is forgiveness from their Lord, and Gardens beneath which rivers flow – abiding in it forever; what an excellent reward for the performers (of good deeds)! 136 There have been examples before you. Journey in the land and see what was the fate of the liars. 137 This (Quran) is a reminder for the people and a guide and advice for the pious. 138 Do not be discouraged or grieved. You alone will have true dignity if you only are true believers. 139 If you have been wounded they too have suffered a wound. We cause this alternation of night and day in the affairs of men so that God may know those who believe, taking some as witness (of truth) from your ranks, for God does not like those who are unjust. 140 This is so that God may try the faithful and destroy the unbelievers. 141 Did you suppose that you would enter Paradise without Allah knowing those of you who struggled and who were patient? 142 And you had certainly wished for martyrdom before you encountered it, and you have [now] seen it [before you] while you were looking on. 143
