Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

7 verses, revealed in Mecca after Hoarding (Al-Takaathur) before The Disbelievers (Al-Kaaferoon)

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Beholdest thou him who belieth the Requital? 1 So it is he, who pushes away the orphan, 2 And does not encourage the feeding of the poor. 3 Woe, therefore, unto such performers of prayer. 4 whose hearts from their prayer are remote 5 those who do good (in order) to be seen, 6 But refuse (to supply) (even) neighbourly needs. 7

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
