Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

7 verses, revealed in Mecca after Hoarding (Al-Takaathur) before The Disbelievers (Al-Kaaferoon)

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful

Hast thou observed him who belieth religion? 1 It is he who turns down the orphans 2 And encourages not the feeding of the indigent. 3 So woe to those who pray 4 who are heedless of their prayers (delaying them from their prescribed times), 5 those who do good (in order) to be seen, 6 And withhold [simple] assistance. 7

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
