Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

7 verses, revealed in Mecca after Hoarding (Al-Takaathur) before The Disbelievers (Al-Kaaferoon)

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

Have you seen he who belied the Recompense? 1 It is he who pushes the orphan away, 2 And does not induce others to feed the needy. 3 So woe to those that pray 4 Who are neglectful of their prayers, 5 Those who make show [of their deeds] 6 And refuse Al-Ma'un (small kindnesses e.g. salt, sugar, water, etc.). 7

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
