Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful

May the hands of Abu Lahab perish! May he too perish! 1 His wealth and what he earns will not avail him. 2 He will be burnt in a Fire of blazing flames! 3 together with his wife, that carrier of evil tales, 4 Around her neck is a rope of [twisted] fiber. 5

God the Almighty always says the truth.
