Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful

Destroyed were the hands of Abu Lahab, and he lay utterly doomed. 1 His wealth avails him not, neither what he has earned; 2 He will be roasted in the fire, 3 And his wife, the wood-carrier, 4 Will have a strap of fibre rope around her neck. 5

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
