Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

May the hands of Abu Lahab be ruined, and ruined is he. 1 His wealth and what he earns will not avail him. 2 He will [enter to] burn in a Fire of [blazing] flame 3 And his wife [as well] - the carrier of firewood. 4 On her neck shall be a cord of twisted fibre. 5

Almighty God's Truth.
