Thorns (Al-Masad)
5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
May both the hands of Abu Lahab be destroyed – and they are destroyed! 1 Neither his wealth nor his gains will avail him. 2 He shall soon burn in fire that flames, 3 And so will his wife; carrying a bundle of firewood on her head. 4 Around her neck will be a rope of palm fibre. 5
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
