Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

The power of Abu Lahab will perish, and he will perish. 1 Neither his wealth nor his gains will avail him. 2 Surely, he will be cast into a Flaming Fire 3 together with his wife, that carrier of evil tales, 4 Will have upon her neck a halter of palm-fibre. 5

True are the words of God the Almighty.
