Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

DESTROYED WILL BE the hands of Abu Lahab, and he himself will perish. 1 What will his wealth avail him, and all that he has gained? 2 he shall roast at a Flaming Fire, 3 His wife shall carry the (crackling) wood - As fuel!- 4 A rope made from palm fibre around her neck! 5

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
