Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Perish the two hands of Abu Lahab (an uncle of the Prophet), and perish he! 1 No profit to him from all his wealth, and all his gains! 2 Anon he shall roast into Fire having flame. 3 And his wife, the bearer of fuel, 4 Will have upon her neck a halter of palm-fibre. 5

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
