Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

DESTROYED WILL BE the hands of Abu Lahab, and he himself will perish. 1 Of no avail shall be his wealth, nor what he has acquired. 2 He shall soon burn in fire that flames, 3 And his wife, the bearer of fuel, 4 A rope made from palm fibre around her neck! 5

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
