Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate

May the hands of Abu Lahab perish, may he be ruined. 1 His wealth and what he earns will not avail him. 2 Burnt soon will he be in a Fire of Blazing Flame! 3 And his wife, the bearer of fuel, 4 upon her neck shall be a rope of palm-fibre. 5

True are the words of God the Almighty.
