Al-Baqarah 5 of 40
O Children of Israel! Remember My favour wherewith I favoured you, and fulfil your (part of the) covenant, I shall fulfil My (part of the) covenant, and fear Me. 40 And believe in what I have sent down confirming that which is [already] with you, and be not the first to disbelieve in it. And do not exchange My signs for a small price, and fear [only] Me. 41 Do not mix truth with falsehood, or hide the truth when you know it. 42 Establish worship, pay the poor-due, and bow your heads with those who bow (in worship). 43 ۞ Enjoin you Al-Birr (piety and righteousness and each and every act of obedience to Allah) on the people and you forget (to practise it) yourselves, while you recite the Scripture [the Taurat (Torah)]! Have you then no sense? 44 And seek help in patience and prayer; and truly it is hard except for those who prostrate before Me with sincerity. 45 who reckon that they will meet their Lord and that to Him they will return. 46
