Behold, the hypocrites seek to deceive Allah, but it is they who are being deluded by Him. When they rise to Prayer, they rise reluctantly, and only to be seen by men. They remember Allah but little. 142 wavering between (belief and disbelief), neither to these nor to those, and whom Allah leads astray, you will not find a way for him. 143 O ye who believe! Choose not disbelievers for (your) friends in place of believers. Would ye give Allah a clear warrant against you? 144 Indeed, the hypocrites will be in the lowest depths of the Fire - and never will you find for them a helper - 145 Except those who repented and reformed themselves and held fast to Allah’s rope and made their religion sincerely only for Allah – so they are with the Muslims; and Allah will soon bestow upon the believers a great reward. 146 Why should God punish you if you give thanks and believe in Him? God is All-rewarding and All-forgiving. 147 ۞ God likes not the shouting of evil words unless a man has been wronged; God is All-hearing, All-knowing. 148 Whether you reveal any good or hide it, or pardon any evil, God is forgiving and all powerful. 149 Those who disbelieve in Allah and His Messengers, and desire to divide between Allah and His Messengers (by believing in Him without them), and say, 'We believe in some (Prophets Moses and Jesus), and disbelieve in some of them (such as Prophet Muhammad)' desiring to take between this (and that) a way (between belief and disbelief) 150 it is they, they who are truly denying the truth: and for those who deny the truth We have readied shameful suffering. 151 For those who believe in Allah and His Messengers, and do not differentiate between them, We shall certainly give them their reward.
