No, by the moon! 32 And [by] the night when it departs 33 and the dawn when it is white, 34 Indeed, the Fire is of the greatest [afflictions] 35 a warning to humankind, 36 alike to every one of you, who want to go forward or hang back. 37 Every soul is held in pledge for what it earns, 38 save the People of the Right Hand 39 who will be in Paradise 40 concerning the sinners, 41 [And asking them], "What put you into Saqar?" 42 They will answer: “We were not among those who observed Prayer, 43 we fed not the needy, 44 we indulged in vain arguments along with those who indulged in them; 45 And we used to deny the Day of Judgment, 46 Until there came to us the certainty." 47 So, the intercession of intercessors will not avail them. 48 What ails them, that they turn away from the Reminder, 49 As if they were frightened (wild) donkeys. 50 fleeing -- before a lion? 51 Nay; every one of them desires that he may be given pages spread out; 52 Nay, verily. They fear not the Hereafter. 53 By no means! Verily this Qur'an is an admonition. 54 Let anyone who seeks guidance do so. 55 And they shall not heed unless Allah willeth. He is the Lord of piety, and the Lord of forgiveness. 56
