The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
CONSIDER the sky full of great constellations, 1 And the promised day, 2 by the witness and the witnessed, 3 may the people be condemned those who tortured (the believers) in ditches 4 Fire supplied (abundantly) with fuel, 5 When they sat by it, 6 and were themselves witnesses of what they did with the believers. 7 And they resented them not except because they believed in Allah, the Exalted in Might, the Praiseworthy, 8 Him to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth! And Allah is Witness to all things. 9 Indeed those who troubled the Muslim men and Muslim women, and then did not repent – for them is the punishment of hell, and for them is the punishment of fire. 10 Lo! those who believe and do good works, theirs will be Gardens underneath which rivers flow. That is the Great Success. 11 Verily the grip of thine Lord is severe. 12 Verily He! He it is who beginneth and repeateth it. 13 And He is the Forgiving, the Loving, 14 The Lord of the Glorious Throne, 15 Performer of what He desires. 16 Has it come to you the story of the hosts 17 of Pharaoh and of Thamood? 18 Yet those who deny the truth persist in denial. 19 And Allah, all unseen, surroundeth them. 20 Indeed, this is a Glorious Koran, 21 On a guarded tablet. 22
