Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ Nay, I swear by the Day of Resurrection; 1 But nay! I call to witness the accusing voice of man's own conscience! 2 Does man (a disbeliever) think that We shall not assemble his bones? 3 Yes. [We are] Able [even] to proportion his fingertips. 4 In fact man wishes to commit evil in front of Him! 5 he asks, "When is this Day of Resurrection to be?" 6 But when the sight is dazed 7 And the moon will be eclipsed, 8 And the sun and moon will be joined together (by going one into the other or folded up or deprived of their light, etc.) 9 On that day man will cry: Whither to flee! 10 No! There is no refuge. 11 With your Lord alone shall on that day be the place of rest. 12 Upon that day man shall be told his former deeds and his latter; 13 He shall be a clear proof against himself, 14 even though he offer his excuses. 15 Move not thy tongue with it to hasten it; 16 It is for Us to collect it and to give you (O Muhammad SAW) the ability to recite it (the Quran), 17 So, when We recite it, follow thou its recitation. 18 then it will be for Us to explain it. 19 No! But you love the immediate 20 and give no thought to the life to come [and to Judgment Day]! 21 (Some) faces on that day shall be bright, 22 Looking towards their Lord; 23 Others will be despondent, 24 Knowing that there will be made to befall them some great calamity. 25 Some people, certainly, do not believe in it, but when a person's soul reaches up to his throat 26 And it is said: Who will be a magician? 27 and when he thinks it is the time of departure 28 And anguish will be heaped upon anguish: 29 at that time towards thy Sustainer does he feel impelled to turn! 30
