▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ Then I swear by the setting of the stars, 75 And verily, that is indeed a great oath, if you but know. 76 that this indeed is a noble Qur'an, 77 Kept in a secure Book. 78 Only they can reach it who are clean (of mind). 79 It is a revelation sent down from the Lord of the worlds. 80 Do you, then, take this discourse in light esteem, 81 And make denial thereof your livelihood? 82 Why, then, when the soul leaps up to the throat of the dying 83 the while you are helplessly watching that he is on the verge of death, 84 And We are nearer to it than you, but you do not see-- 85 why, if you are not at Our disposal, 86 Can you not bring him back? (Answer) if you are truthful 87 Then, if he is one of the honoured, 88 then happiness and delight and Gardens of Bliss are his. 89 And if he was of the companions of the right, 90 There will be the salutation by those of the right hand: "Peace on you. 91 But if he be of them that cried lies, and went astray, 92 For him is Entertainment with Boiling Water. 93 and the heat of a blazing fire! 94 Lo! this is certain truth. 95 Therefore (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) proclaim the Purity of the name of your Lord, the Greatest. 96
God the Almighty always says the truth.
