Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the (winds) sent forth in quick succession, 1 storming tempestuously 2 And those that revive by quickening, 3 Then separate them, one from another, 4 and those hurling a reminder 5 to excuse some and warn others: 6 Most surely what you are threatened with must come to pass. 7 Thus, [it will come to pass] when the stars are effaced, 8 And when the heaven is opened 9 and when the mountains crumble into dust 10 And when the messengers are brought unto their time appointed - 11 For which day were they appointed? 12 For the Day of Sorting out. 13 What do you know what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients, 16 We shall then send the latter after them. 17 As such shall We deal with the sinners. 18 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 19 Did We not create you from an insignificant drop of fluid 20 The which We placed in a place of rest, firmly fixed, 21 for a term pre-ordained? 22 We then calculated; so how excellently do We control! 23 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 24 Made We not the earth to be a housing 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 And placed in it lofty and broad stablisers, and gave you sweet water to drink? 27 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 28 (It will be said to the disbelievers): "Depart you to that which you used to deny! 29 Proceed to that shadow, rising in three columns 30 “Which neither gives shade, nor saves from the flame.” 31 which - behold! - will throw up sparks like [burning] logs, 32 as black camels. 33 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 34 They will not be able to speak that day, 35 Nor will it be open to them to put forth pleas. 36 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 37 Such is the Day of Decision. We will gather you with the ancients. 38 So if you have any ploy, try it against Me! 39 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 40
