HAST THOU, then, ever considered him who turns away [from remembering Us, and cares for no more than the life of this world,] 33 and gives a little, grudgingly? 34 Does he have any knowledge of the world beyond the ken of sense-perception, and therefore, clearly sees (the Truth)? 35 Has not he been informed of the contents of the Book of Moses 36 And of Ibrahim, who was most obedient? 37 that no soul shall bear the burden of another; 38 and that nought shall be accounted unto man but what he is striving for; 39 And that his effort will soon be scrutinised? 40 Then he will be fully repaid for it? 41 And that the end is only towards your Lord? 42 And that it is He who makes [one] laugh and weep 43 and that it is He alone who deals death and grants life; 44 and that He Himself created the two kinds, male and female, 45 from a drop of sperm when it was emitted, 46 And that upon Him is another bringing forth. 47 That it is He who makes you rich and contented; 48 And that it is He who is the Lord of Sirius 49 That it was He who destroyed the 'Ad of old, 50 And that Thamud! He left not. 51 And before them, the people of Nooh? Indeed they were more unjust and more rebellious than these! 52 And He overthrew the Cities of the Plain, 53 And covered them by that which He covered. 54 Which of your Lord's benefits will you then dispute about? 55 THIS IS a warning like those warnings of old: 56 The (Judgment) ever approaching draws nigh: 57 There shall be none besides Allah to remove it. 58 Will you, then, wonder at this? 59 And will ye laugh and not weep,- 60 indulging in carelessly idle games? 61 So prostrate to Allah and worship [Him]. ۩ 62
