Al-Dukhaan 2 of 3

We rescued the Israelites from the humiliating torment 30 from Pharaoh; surely he was a high One, of the prodigals; 31 We knowingly exalted them (i.e., the Children of Israel) above other peoples of the world 32 And gave signs to them in which there was a clear trial. 33 Verily, these (Quraish) people are saying: 34 "There is no dying for us but once; and we shall not be raised again. 35 Bring us our fathers, if you speak truly!' 36 Are they better, or the people of Tubba' and those before them whom We destroyed? They were surely sinners. 37 And We created not the heavens and the earth and all that is in-between the twain sporting. 38 We created them not save in truth; but most of them know it not. 39 Surely the Day of Decision shall be their appointed time, all together, 40 the day a master shall avail nothing a client, and they shall not be helped, 41 save him upon whom God has mercy; He is the All-mighty, the All-compassionate. 42
