The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By heaven of the constellations, 1 And by the Promised Day (i.e. the Day of Resurrection); 2 by the witness and the witnessed, 3 Cursed were the people of the ditch (the story of the Boy and the King). 4 The people of the fuelled blazing fire. 5 When they sat by it 6 And were themselves the witnesses of what they did to the believers. 7 And they persecuted them for naught save that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Praiseworthy 8 Whose kingdom spreads over the heavens and the earth. God is witness over everything. 9 Verily, those who put into trial the believing men and believing women (by torturing them and burning them), and then do not turn in repentance, (to Allah), will have the torment of Hell, and they will have the punishment of the burning Fire. 10 Surely for those who believe and do the right are gardens with rivers running by. That is the greatest success. 11 The vengeance of God is terribly severe. 12 Surely it is He who originates, and brings again, 13 And He is the Forgiving, the Loving, 14 Owner of the Throne, the Exalted. 15 He does what He intends (or wills). 16 Has not there come to you the story of the hosts, 17 of the Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 And yet the Unbelievers (persist) in rejecting (the Truth)! 19 But Allah doth encompass them from behind! 20 What is revealed to you is certainly a glorious Quran 21 (Inscribed) in a Tablet Preserved! 22
