The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
25 verses, revealed in Mecca after Shattering (Al-Infitaar) before The Romans (Al-Room)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When the heaven bursts asunder, 1 in obedience to the commands of their Lord which are incumbent on them, 2 And when the earth is stretched, 3 And throws out whatever it contains and is empty, 4 And hearkens to its Lord and is dutiful, 5 O man, you have to strive and go on striving towards your Lord, then will you meet Him. 6 he who is given his record in his right hand 7 He shall be reckoned with by an easy reckoning, 8 And return to his people in happiness. 9 But he who is given his Record behind his back,- 10 Soon will he cry for perdition, 11 And will go into the blazing fire. 12 He used to live joyfully among his people, 13 thinking he would never revert (to Us). 14 Yea! his Lord had ever been beholding him. 15 So indeed I call to witness the evening twilight, 16 And the night and all it gathers, 17 and the moon when it is at the full, 18 that you shall surely ride from stage to stage. 19 What is the matter with them, that they do not believe 20 And when the Qur'an is recited to them, they do not prostrate [to Allah]? ۩ 21 Instead, the unbelievers reject it, calling it a lie. 22 And Allah knows best what they gather (of good and bad deeds), 23 So announce to them a Penalty Grievous, 24 except for those who believe and do good deeds. Theirs shall be an unending reward. 25
Almighty God's Truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
