Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ When the heaven becomes cleft asunder, 1 when the stars are scattered, 2 when the seas swarm over, 3 and when the graves are laid open: 4 A soul will know what it hath sent before (it) and what left behind. 5 Human being, what evil has deceived you about your Gracious Lord, 6 Who created thee, then moulded thee, then proportioned thee? 7 and set you in whatever form He pleased? 8 Nay! but you give the lie to the judgment day, 9 yet there are over you watchers 10 noble, recording, 11 Knowing all what you may do. 12 Indeed, the righteous shall (live) in bliss. 13 But the wicked, indeed they shall be in the Fiery Furnace, 14 roasting therein on the Day of Doom, 15 and from which they will find no escape. 16 And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Doom? 17 Again would that you only knew how terrible it really is! 18 [It will be] a Day when no human being shall be of the least avail to another human being: for on that Day [it will become manifest that] all sovereignty is God's alone. 19
